B. Morse. The one shown here was the inventor of the telegraph. His full name was Samuel Finley Breese Morse and he died 47 years before Pebble Beach was founded by Samuel Finley Brown Morse. <br /><br />According to the Pebble Beach website, Samuel Finley Brown was a distant cousin of Samuel Finley Breese. Other sources say he was a grand nephew, which I think is probably the case. <br /><br />Samuel Finley Breese had a son, grandson, and great grandson all named Samuel Finley Breese Morse.
